I always enjoy watching Jamie Oliver’s cooking program on TV. He got tremendous of very simple yet fabulous recipes with perfect taste. I wrote down this trifle recipe some time ago while watching one of his action in the kitchen.

I still love the combination taste of the cream, cake and fruits though I used vanilla cream to replace custard. But I’m pretty sure custard will taste much better for this recipe. I wish I could find some custard in Kuopio one day

Trifle Recipe
- custard cream/vanilla cream
- cake as base (any kind)
- some mix fruits (I used orange)
- Jelly of any flavor (cut into small pieces)
- Place the cake as the base in a glass. Layer with the custard cream, put on top some jelly, layer again with some mix fruits and finally ending with grated chocolate.

Weird name indeed
Where did you get that cute spider from?
It was from my broken keychain holder.
I think you might mean “trifle”
Thanks for the correction. I should have heard the British accent wrongly.
Do you think Jamie Oliver maybe could have been saying “trifles” rather than “truffles”?

Yes, now I think he must have said trifle. I have it edited in the post. Thanks
So easy, but so pretty. Is that grapefruit as well? I’m curious as to how that tasted with the chocolate.
Yes it was grapefruit but unfortunately is was a bit bitter and didn’t go very well with the chocolate. The orange however tasted very good. You could also use mandarin for the trifle.:)
